British Fashion Awards 2009
The British Fashion Awards for 2009 will be held on 9-December-2009. These awards are well thought-out to be the most impressive in the UK fashion trade. The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding fashion designers and to garner global attention for the British fashion industry. The incident will be held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. This is a much anticipated awards event. The winners are chosen by a number of fashion directors and editors involved in the fashion business. This year the awards ceremony is the final event in a year long 25th anniversary celebration. The British fashion manufacturing has been growing more and more and is garnering more attention each year thanks to a concerted medium line up. At the awards ceremony there will be a variety of fashions from dresses to sweaters displayed. The affair is sponsored by Swarovski and there are a number of awards given including the 25th Designer of the Year. There are awards for menswear, designer brands, and outstanding accomplishment to name a few. In addition, Swarovski sponsored two awards to recognize emerging talent. The Designer of the Year award is the top awards and it is given to a British designer that has had a shock on the fashion industry in the past year. There is even a public vote award named the London 25 award. This award is given to a designer who reflects the spirit of London and brings global recognition to the British fashion industry.
